Often forecourt pumps are well within the limits set by trading standards as fit for trade, but can be costing the site operator dearly because they are over dispensing to the customer.

As an example, pumps over-dispensing by only 40 millilitres on a 20 litre measure can would cost a 3 million litre per year site as much as £4,600 per year!
